The Winter's Tale

Shakespeare's romance takes place in two very different worlds: the cold, dark, and wealthy world of royal Sicilia and a warm, inviting peasant village in the country of Bohemia. I chose to set the former in a dark reimagination of 1880's Russia, using only red, black and grey in the clothes to enhance the cold formality. In contrast, I set
Bohemia in India, and used warm, vibrant colors and patterns in the traditional Indian garments.
